Gameplay Changes
Moon cycles
Mechanics
The moon plays a core factor in the gameplay. Depending on what the moon face is, the gameplay can be more relaxing or chaotic.
There are multiple of different moon phases. Here is a list of changes to gameplay that can happen at different moon phases:
- Certain entities can spawn before or after different moon phases
- How often entities will spawn
- When Entities like animals and hostile mobs can not spawn anymore
- Certain events can only play before or after different moon phases
Moon Cycle: 1
The moon is slowly breaking apart. It appears as if something's breaking free from it?
Moon Cycle: 1 VARIANT
The moon is blood red. When a new world is created, there is a 10% chance for the first moon cycle to be replaced with this one.
Moon Cycle: 2
The moon is gone for a while. Towards the end, it slowly comes back as something else.
Core phases
The core is upon you, and with it comes new entities. The core phase changes everytime the moon does a full cycle, with some core types being rarer than others.

Reputation System
The mod implements a reputation system that is determined by the player's behavior.
• Interacting with Error code: -1 (looking at him or getting close to him)
• Dealing critical hits
Factors that influence a players' reputation positively:
• Dying will increase it by a bit, up to a ~4000
• Fishing will increase it by a little bit
• Levelling up
• Sleeping
• Getting an advancement
- The lower your reputation is, the more Error code: -1 will spawn
- Certain events only happen if your reputation is high or low enough
Dimensions
This mod adds several dimensions that can be accessed through various means. Some dimensions are safe, while others are hostile and filled with dangerous entities.
Lost_forever
Lost forever is a dimension made soly out of cobblestone, the formation of which seems to slightly mimic your overworld's terrain generation. You get transported to this dimension upon stepping on an error-cobblestone, which will dissapear upon transporting a player. Upon getting to this dimension for the first time, the player will get an achievement titled "You feel the same way right?" or something similar forgive me for not having perfect memory. The player will remain in this dimension for about one minute, after which the player will be transported back to the overworld. Currently there is nothing else of note in this dimension.
something something error-cobblestone (please let me out of the basement went)
Core-77
Core-77, which Wentworth would really like to be called the Core but he keeps forgetting to change the name internally, is the dimension the player will enter upon interacting with the altar the player built with
Billy's instructions. (Wentworth: MCREATOR SUCKS!!!!)
This dimension is made out of blocks resembling the old cobblestone texture, but coloured a very dark/deep blue and pulsing with some lighter blue. Core-77 also has these giant spinning cubes called Core shards.
These core shards are what the player is looking for while they're in Core-77. It is advised to gear up before going into Core-77, as the only way out is trough a bossfight with The void.
That is also the main goal of the players' presence in Core-77. The current finale (emphasis on current) takes place here in a glorious battle against The void, accompanied by one of Tornadics' bangers titled "Agonizing freedom".
For more information regarding The Voids' bossfight, visit his entity card.
Chat System Modifications
This mod adds several changes to the chat system, such as being able to chat with Nothing_left and other entities under certain conditions. The most common
use of this is to know what stage of progression you're on. You can just ask him something along the lines of "What do i do?" and he'll tell the player what they have to do. There is one exception to this however,
if the player is in a biome that is not added to minecrafts' overworld biomes tag, nothing_left will not respond to the player. These can include some, but not all modded biomes and biomes in different dimensions.
You can also ask nothing_left about certain entities. Most of them, actually. He will give a small bit of lore or information about them, usually the same information can be found in said entity's quote box in this wiki.
The Chat System can be interfered with sometimes. Sometimes the player won't be about to type in chat. The easiest way to fix this is to relog the world. There are many things that can have an impact on the chat system, here is a list of them:
- Entity spawning in
- Saying mean stuff to entities in chat
- A random event can trigger it
- I forgor 💀
Secrets
Sanity System (Hidden)
The mod implements an invisible sanity system that affects player perception and game behavior based on exposure to anomalous events. The meter will take effect once the core is removed.
• Staying in the core's rays will increase it, and staying out of the core's rays will decrease it.
- Dark Shadow will start appearing in the sky
- Your hunger will go down even if you're not doing anything
Save File Corruption
Worlds modified by no_moon.jar may become unplayable in vanilla Minecraft or with the mod removed.
Chaotic Nights
There is a default 5% chance for a night to be chaotic. There are warning signs that a chaotic night is coming, such as the sun appearing eclipsed
Chaotic nights are configurable in the config. There is also multiple types of chaotic nights. There's a type of night where The Pretend can spawn in extremely high quantities, making them a much bigger threat than they usually pose alone. The secret seed
And finally, this mod comes with a nice little secret seed that has a completely new set of challenges. Specific entities get buffed into the stratosphere, new entities spawn that may or may not have a permanent effect on your save, etc.
Did you know? The secret seed is actually you looked (the game tells you it under specific conditions).
When the player loads into the world for the first time, the player will realize that the days count is 101 (this does not mean that every entity is active from the start. It's mostly just a visual change). Entities will spawn in way earlier than they're supposed to. The sun and moon are now gone making you unable to see if a chaotic night is coming. Some entities might be even active from the start.
The players' spawn is actually quite good by normal standards, as there are two villages close by which is the players' main food source, since animals dont really spawn in the secret seed. The player spawns in a forest, and upon finding the two villages, they will find a big cave filled with some ores quite useful for the early progression, which is also highly needed due to the increased difficulty the secret seed bears.
One of the new challenges that the secret seed poses comes in the form of a secret-seed exclusive entity named the The dark, who can now appear. Upon catching the player, he can permanently ban them, so be careful.
Due to the dark being able to talk to the player and nothing_left's absence, some people theorize the dark to be a "corrupted" version of nothing_left, which is then used to explain the secret seed's added difficulty, though there's been no word confirming nor denying this from any official sources.
The walking fog, a moving version of the error fog can now appear as well, fundamentally the same as their immobile counterparts, just... moving.
Dark shadows stop being ominous observers in the sky, and actually approach the player, doing some damage and draining the players' sanity upon touching them.
Firestarters transform from a simple event into a creature, spreading blazing inferno wherever it steps. Yes i like to type dramatically why do you ask
The nothing_left live reactions (when enabled in the config) will only display static.
Both the vanilla game and the mod's difficulty are LOCKED to hard, and almost all of your config settings will be ignored (All client-side config settings won't be ignored).
Overall, the game's progression is heavily altered in the secret seed, it's not reccomended for a first-time playtrough, though you can definetely still beat the game in the secret seed.
